EPUB can embed video or audio files to provide multimedia experience. Your eBook might crash or become very slow if you fail to optimize its size or bitrate. Please follow the instructions to setup your media file. If your product only contains video or audio, please use the Media Publish (影音出版) service to publish it as a media product. So users can enjoy the smooth experience of streaming, also prevent lots of slow performing and crash issues.
- Take Adobe Premiere as an example:
- Format should be H.264
- Frame should be 1280 x 720 (i.e. 720p)
- Bitrate should be 3Mbps
- See if your output file size is smaller than 200MB, if not, lower the bitrate to about 2Mbps
- Set Profile as Main or Base
- If you still cannot lower the file size, please adjust the audio bitrate from 192kbps to 128kbps.
- When using Movie Maker, please choose Android Phone (medium) quality.
- You could also use the following custom settings optimized for Pubu.
- Make sure the file path you specified is the same with the actual media file.
- And check if the media-type in the OPF file is video/mp4.
